[16.11.2019] Starting to migrate this website over to my new one here: www.dylancraven.com. It's a bit basic, but hopefully will get pretty with time. [16.08.2019] Last day as a post-doc! I'm starting at the Centre for Ecosystem Modeling and Monitoring at Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile as an associate professor. [29.07.2019] My paper on local-scale biodiversity patterns across Hawaiian forests just came out in PNAS. We show that biodiversity is higher on older islands, but that the signal of macroevolutionary processes is being eroded by biological invasions. [09.07.2019] Thrilled with the positive feedback on my research on drivers of invasive woody plants across Hawai'i, and the conference symposium on functional island biogeography that I organized with H. Kreft and C. Hof at the Island Biology Conference in La Reunion. [10.06.2019] A long time coming (5+ years!) - my quantitative analysis on how interdisciplinarity in biodiversity has evolved is finally online and open access [20.05.2019] Hard at work on my first big grant proposal. [28.10.2018] My meta-analysis on the impacts of earthworm invasion on plant diversity is a #top20 paper in Global Change Biology! [1.10.2018] My first data paper is out in Biodiversity Data Journal, and it's open access! [27.08.2018] Behind the paper blog on ecological synthesis: https://go.nature.com/2PFjskJ [27.08.2018] New article on how multiple facets of biodiversity influence stability is out in Nature Ecology & Evolution (https://rdcu.be/5iVk) [17.07.2018] Now in print at J. of Vegetation Science - my article on successional shifts of environmental filtering in central Panama [01.04.2018] I'm thrilled to be joining H. Kreft's lab in Gottingen, where I'll continue to work on cross-scale biodiversity patterns in islands! [26.10.2017] Just gave an intensive 4-day course on meta-analysis in ecology.
